This last few months has been flooded with adorable little mini-sessions and family-fun galore!! I have been doing Holiday sessions like you would not believe, and I have had a blast! I love being part of making family memories and telling a story of who you are and what your family is about!! I was completely touched by the Schwab family that is fighting {and beating} Cancer. This photoshoot was a Celebration of Life and every single moment we have together!! Heck-yeah. Hope. Love. Life. This is what it’s all about, and these families of lovers and fighters are so lucky to know how precious life is. This New Year, I am totally going to smile bigger, love deeper, live louder and dance harder.

I spend a lot of time chasing kids around. Besides being a busy wedding photographer & picking up commercial jobs here and there, I also have a fun little studio in Snohomish, WA geared towards newborns, kids, families and seniors. Between that and my own 3 girls, yeah, I chase a lot of kids. I love it though!! It keeps me young, laughing, and on my toes!! I thought 2 things after I watched this video that Keith made of my shoot…FIRST, I REALLY have to color my roots and trim my mane {I have since cut 4 inches and am slightly blonder}!! Second…I never want to forget what blessings little people are, how playful and FUN they make life!! I really wish I could keep my children this young forever…at the age where a kiss can make any boo-boo better. A toss in the air can dry all tears. This priceless age of innocence and discovery should never be taken for granted, even when it’s 3 am and they are up {again!}…what’s a little sleep in the scheme of things? Right? Soon, it will all be over. They will be grown up, going to school, walking down isles and doing the whole thing over again. So embrace those little people {and chase them around a little too}. :)

There are TONS of weddings and shoots from this Summer and Fall that I simply must share! I will have to post a few catch-up Blogs :) Starting with my most recent adventures in Southern California…I had a number of shoots scheduled while I was in  Los Angeles and got some really great shots in places like Santa Monica, Malibu, Redondo Beach, Pasadena and the Angels Stadium of Aneheim! I am a Los Angeles native, so this was a blast for me to tour around and visit all of my old stomping grounds :) I LOVE visiting my home state, and will be returning shortly to do more shoots and make more memories. I just had to share some of the work I did while shooting in LA. Ah, the fruits of my labor…

Griffin is an up and coming recording artist in L.A. who had me do some shots for his press packet. Needless to say, this was a super fun shoot. :)

Erica is one of my longest, dearest friends from PV Peninsula High School. I got excited at the chance to photograph my beautiful friend! We are still close after all these years and we always have a fun time with our photoshoots when we get together. Isn’t she stunning!?

I also did some romantic shots of this beautiful couple on the beach in Malibu!

While I was in Malibu, I also shot the adorable Barton family! I LOVE these classic beach family photos {with “Trala” flair!} :)

One of my other favorite destination shoots while in California was at the Los Angeles Angels Stadium! What a treat this was for me to get to photograph this beautiful family in such an awesome place! I have to thank the von Duering family for being such Angels fans and for bringing me along on their tour of the stadium! {You, too, can have your very own personal paparazzi!}


Little Alexis also posed for me while I was in the area. I visited her home in Redondo Beach and was immediately captivated by those baby blues! What a doll! Alexis was so sweet and bright eyed, perfect for her first photoshoot!! No trip is too far for a baby’s first photo session :)

I did get to have a little “me” time on this trip and had some great times with old friends at great restaurants, trips to the spa, the beach and just driving around alone with the music blasting and windows down…a real treat for this busy momma of three! I brought the family down for a trip to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm earlier this summer, so I didn’t feel bad enjoying myself one bit {ok, maybe I felt alittle bad after that shoot with all the half-naked guys…I really enjoyed that! lol}.

I love this family. They are so warm and welcoming. Take a look at some shots I got of the family for father’s day! Can you say, picture perfect? You may recognize Makayla from her senior session just a little while ago. She is off to Bellingham (I miss the ‘Ham!) to go to college! Her sisters and parents sure are going to miss her!

Meet my new friends! I had a SUPER-DUPER fun time with these guys, because they were just such GREAT kids! Talk about easy to love! Not only were these kiddos super easy to hang out with, but they loved to pose for me! Great job training ‘em in front of the camera all these years mom and dad! You’re next!!

Austin and Alexandra were such good babies for their first photo-shoot, I just could not believe it! This new little family is truly blessed and I feel just as blessed to capture such an amazing part of their lives! I look forward to watching this family grow and capturing more memories to come! But for now, let’s just freeze this time, where these angels are so small and innocent…they will grow up quickly!!!

These siblings are so different from one another, yet share so much!!

Jula and Joe have such an amazing family…and to think it all started with a kiss…probably:)
