Many people ask me if I have decals on my mixer…I actualyl picked this design and Nicole Dinardo painted it to match my kitchen!  It’s a one of a kind, but guess what…Nick saw that this design was super popular, so she made a simple solution and started making Decals for those of you that want  your mixer to look fabulous like this, without getting a custom paint job! I recently had the brilliant idea to have a Baking themed birthday party for my 12-year-old. My blossoming young tween wanted a baking-ice-skating-painting-dance-slumber party…so we compromised and I let her have a few friends over the night before to participate in the preparations for her Baking Slumber Party!! Part of the “party” was in the experience of making all of the cake-pops and cookies the night before, together.

The girls had a blast {and I almost had a nervous breakdown with all that was going on at once, at volume 12, until 2 am…} We had lots and lots of help from my fabulous mixer {custom painted by the amazing Un Amore Designs} and I think the girls just liked having turns using it {I know it inspires ME to bake!!}. Bright and early in the morning, before the party, the girls made decorations with cupcake liners, and party favors with Cookies in a Jar. We even had time to mold edible PhotoBooth Props {lips and mustaches on a stick!}. My favorite touch!

I provided ideas and inspiration, and everything was homemade by the girls except the aprons! I really wanted to make those myself, but I am no wonder-woman…so I hired the wonder-woman at Rockin Bobbin to make my over-the-top adorable aprons and hat flowers {just got the chef hats at Micheals!} My youngest girls even got to dress up and be a part of the party! They all had the best time I could have ever imagined!! It was totally worth the hours spent on Pinterest and sleepless night with a house-full of aspiring Bakerellas

Krissy and Scott had one of the CUTEST weddings I have ever photographed! It was stylized by the amazing Adrian Perry & Aubrey Michaelis…and I just adore the Orange and Gray color scheme!! The photo-fun-booth went perfectly with the pinwheels and DIY theme!  They had timeless flowers by Sublime Stems & a Cupcake tower by Simply Sweet Cupcakes {this was  the icing on the cake}! SO beautiful and DELICIOUS!! I wouldn’t have changed one single thing about this wedding, I just loved everything about it, right down to the stunning candy table complete with monogram touches! The Hollywood Schoolhouse is an amazing venue with a vintage feel and great light!! It really seems like everything was planned perfectly for pictures because there were details and thoughtful touches everywhere!! I was in heaven Enjoy a few images of one of my all time favorite weddings to photograph!!

 This Burlap and Lace wedding was a phenomenal wedding. Not only because the bride and groom have amazingly great taste, or because of the fabulous design and coordination by Jenny Keller Designs, or even because of it’s spectacular location at the gorgeous Hidden Meadows in Snohomish…this day was a photographer’s dream for sooo many reasons!! Lovely overcast weather, designs and details galore, a beautiful couple so in love and so happy…but some of the details that made this wedding so magnificent could not be planned! Just days earlier, the mother-of-the-bride fell and broke her hip, and was unsure how she could possibly attend her daughter’s wedding! How do you not let something like this dampen your spirits!?? Well, you just don’t, you pray for a miracle, and you hope for the best! That’s exactly what Tamara and Steven did. They were happy, hopeful, and in love. Those prayers paid off, because Tamara’s mother made it to the wedding right out of surgery, specially delivered by ambulance and escorted by some very special medics! You can read more about this story in the Herald.net! It’s wedding days like this that make you truly believe in love and miracles. I feel so blessed to be a part of this spectacular wedding and document the beauty and joy in this most perfect day!! Enjoy some of the images from this Burlap and Lace wedding! Some of you may know about Nicole Dinardo of Un Amore Custom Designs…she’s kind of a big deal. I am honored to call her a friend, and to get to photograph this little vixen at work! Nic has been featured in 425 Magazine, and the Food Network, with her custom mixers sitting in the homes of  celebrities such as Britney Spears, Khloe Kardashian, and The Pioneer Woman – Ree Drummand! Of course, I also had to get my hands on one of these collector pieces of art -you guessed it – Tiffany Blue with Damask embellishments {my fave!}. Once again, I have to catch up on blogging, I have just been soo busy working, living life and…well, working and enjoying life pretty much sums it up! It took me a few days to catch up on sleep after capturing this little miracle one early morning! There is no greater honor for me than to be asked to be part of a moment such as this. The moment your child is born. Why wouldn’t you capture this event to relive for a lifetime? We capture weddings and birthdays, family vacations, but what about the day you welcome your child into the world?? Simply priceless. I love this family and would have been there for this moment at any cost. I am humbled and thrilled that they love me as well, enough to invite me to share in this priceless event. You can’t rewind time, but you CAN relive a moment!! Enjoy these images of this amazing little miracle

Rhonda & Guy are a classic couple who had a classic wedding. They had their wedding at The Grand Willow in Mt. Vernon on one of the ONLY beautiful days in April! The Tulip Festival was going on at the same time, so between the sunshine and tulips, we had the perfect setting for this gorgeous wedding day {once we all got through the tulip traffic}!! Once Keith and I got to the venue, we were thrilled to see all of the great details and colors! Guy & Rhonda had of my favorite things EVER,  Damask accents  and personalized Jones Sodas!!  This wedding was so much fun to be a part of!! Keith did some video for the wedding too, and we are just so excited to combine my still shots with his video to make the perfect combo! Here’s a little sneak peek of the day!

Katie and Cole are super-duper adorable. I met them a few Summers ago when I shot Katie’s sister’s wedding! {I love being there for weddings like part of the family!} Naturally, we can’t have the same shots so we chose a modern  downtown Seattle session for our urban cowboy {actually he’s a Seattle Police Officer} and his stylin’ wife-to-be. I had to take advantage of all of the Wall Art that is available in Pioneer Square. The colors are my fave and I just love all of the character of the old buildings and wondering citizens. We did a little bit of everything to capture all things “Seattle”. The wedding day is going to be a glorious Summer wedding, no doubt with lots of flare and style! Stay tuned for more from this couple…

I know, I have said it before and I will say it again. I have the COOLEST clients!  I’d like to call Karridi and Brandon friends after spending time with them at my studio in downtown Snohomish for thier engagement session. We talked, we laughed, we kissed…well they kissed I just watched and took pictures They were just so comfortable loving each other  and fun to be around, it made my job a dream! It doesn’t hurt that they are gorgeous, either!! But what made thier engagement photos so fabulous was the way they smiled at each other and looked at each other, you could just feel the spark! It’s not about perfection, but emotion and personality! These two had style & chemistry…lots of it. I just know that Brandon and Karridi are going to have an awesome wedding day, and I simply cannot wait to share that day with them! They have already given me permission to dance at the reception, so watch out party people!!

One of my absolute favorite local venues to shoot weddings at is Lord Hill Farms. They have it all! A view, bridge, pond, barns, lighting…the style is perfect and the mood is always set just right. I love weddings at Lord Hill Farms for the shabby-chic feel with modern flare. Ashley and Chad are simply adorable and had a stunning country wedding. We had a lot of fun getting photos, even if we had to go through fields of mud {well we didn’t know we signed up for that until we were about ankle deep}. This couple paired with this location make the picture perfect wedding! Location is not everything, but it sure does help! Did I mention that Lord Hill Farms even has event coordinators, decorations, food and drink…plus more? Talk about perfection! Ashley and Chad had nothing to worry about on the wedding day so they could just focus on each other and getting great images!!
