Krissy and Scott had one of the CUTEST weddings I have ever photographed! It was stylized by the amazing Adrian Perry & Aubrey Michaelis…and I just adore the Orange and Gray color scheme!! The photo-fun-booth went perfectly with the pinwheels and DIY theme!  They had timeless flowers by Sublime Stems & a Cupcake tower by Simply Sweet Cupcakes {this was  the icing on the cake}! SO beautiful and DELICIOUS!! I wouldn’t have changed one single thing about this wedding, I just loved everything about it, right down to the stunning candy table complete with monogram touches! The Hollywood Schoolhouse is an amazing venue with a vintage feel and great light!! It really seems like everything was planned perfectly for pictures because there were details and thoughtful touches everywhere!! I was in heaven Enjoy a few images of one of my all time favorite weddings to photograph!!

 This Burlap and Lace wedding was a phenomenal wedding. Not only because the bride and groom have amazingly great taste, or because of the fabulous design and coordination by Jenny Keller Designs, or even because of it’s spectacular location at the gorgeous Hidden Meadows in Snohomish…this day was a photographer’s dream for sooo many reasons!! Lovely overcast weather, designs and details galore, a beautiful couple so in love and so happy…but some of the details that made this wedding so magnificent could not be planned! Just days earlier, the mother-of-the-bride fell and broke her hip, and was unsure how she could possibly attend her daughter’s wedding! How do you not let something like this dampen your spirits!?? Well, you just don’t, you pray for a miracle, and you hope for the best! That’s exactly what Tamara and Steven did. They were happy, hopeful, and in love. Those prayers paid off, because Tamara’s mother made it to the wedding right out of surgery, specially delivered by ambulance and escorted by some very special medics! Rhonda & Guy are a classic couple who had a classic wedding. They had their wedding at The Grand Willow in Mt. Vernon on one of the ONLY beautiful days in April! The Tulip Festival was going on at the same time, so between the sunshine and tulips, we had the perfect setting for this gorgeous wedding day {once we all got through the tulip traffic}!! Once Keith and I got to the venue, we were thrilled to see all of the great details and colors! Guy & Rhonda had of my favorite things EVER,  Damask accents  and personalized Jones Sodas!!  This wedding was so much fun to be a part of!! Keith did some video for the wedding too, and we are just so excited to combine my still shots with his video to make the perfect combo! Here’s a little sneak peek of the day!

One of my absolute favorite local venues to shoot weddings at is Lord Hill Farms. They have it all! A view, bridge, pond, barns, lighting…the style is perfect and the mood is always set just right. I love weddings at Lord Hill Farms for the shabby-chic feel with modern flare. Ashley and Chad are simply adorable and had a stunning country wedding. We had a lot of fun getting photos, even if we had to go through fields of mud {well we didn’t know we signed up for that until we were about ankle deep}. This couple paired with this location make the picture perfect wedding! Location is not everything, but it sure does help! Did I mention that Lord Hill Farms even has event coordinators, decorations, food and drink…plus more? Talk about perfection! Ashley and Chad had nothing to worry about on the wedding day so they could just focus on each other and getting great images!!

 A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of shooting Jan and Beth’s wedding day. I was thrilled to meet this couple once I got to Texas, but only had conversations over the phone and emails until the week of the wedding. I knew a little about this happy couple and had seen a few images of the wedding venue and that was it. I have never explored the Dallas/Fort Worth area before, so this was really an adventure!! I was ready for new places and faces, but ran into a little snag when Beth and I talked a little more about the wedding plans. Jan and Beth wanted to wait to see each other until Beth came down the isle, that’s ok. Totally cool!! ..Except the wedding was at night. When I heard this, my heart sank. HOW was I going to get awesomely awesome images from this Destination Wedding if I only got to shoot the couple at night?  I wanted to get killer shots just as badly as my beautiful couple, so I insisted we schedule a Trash-the-Dress session the Day After. Beth and Jan were SO excited about this idea and jumped at the opportunity. I mean, HELLO!? It was the perfect fix. SO perfect, I’ve decided ALL of my Destination Weddings need to include a Bonus Shoot to take advantage of my time while at our destination!!

 I simply adore this couple. They have it all. Style. Humor. Love. The wedding day was perfect, with Damask and Turquoise accents {seriously, my favorite}, details galore and a crazy Photo Fun Booth. By the end of the night, I felt like part of the family and didn’t want the event to end! But I knew the next day we would get to have a blast running around town shooting our Trash-the-Dress shoot. We had a little photo-scavenger hunt, looking for fun places to pose and the laughter never ended! Beth and Jan were SO happy and excited to be married, it really made photographing the way they felt about each other a breeze. There were no restrictions. We got all the couple shots we couldn’t get on the wedding night, PLUS more! By the end of our photo-feild-trip, we headed back to the hotel that Beth and Jan were staying at and they decided to end the shoot with Trashing-the-Dress in the rooftop pool. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ bout! Perfection.

 I’d love to do a Day-After shoot or even a Trash-the-Dress session for all of my couples if I had the choice! The possibilities are just endless!! Together, we can get those images that seem impossible to do on a typical wedding day…we just gotta make it happen! To really make your bridal session over the top, I recommend having a your wedding planner or shoot stylist like Lindeman Weddings and Events be a part of the shoot and help to “stylize” the look of our shoot & really give it that bridal magazine “look”. Hair and make-up are also key to helping you look your best, so consider scheduling your personal stylist for the next day!! Beth just woke up with all that natural beauty and we just used the style of the city, we didn’t have a stylist for our Dallas wedding, but could you imagine if we had!!??

I don’t get to shoot a ton of weddings in the snow. Last weekend, David and Monica lucked out with their winter wedding. They knew it would be cold, it was a February wedding in the Northwest. There could have been wind, rain, hail….or snow. They took a chance, and they hit the jackpot with a serene white winter wedding at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish. The wedding could not have been such a perfect event without the fabulous Lindeman Weddings & Events making everything run smoothly! I also really enjoyed working with the awesomely talented Vivid Wedding Films. It’s really inspiring to work with such creative talent and great personalities!!

I got to follow two beautiful people in love, just wallking through the falling snowflakes, with nothing but love to light their fires and keep them warm. It was perfect. I had tingles and goosebumps the whole day {and not just because my phalanges were numb in the 20 degree weather}. This beautiful day is just one of the many blessings these two are sure to share in a lifetime of love & togetherness.   Monica and David really had a perfect wedding day full of love, faith and serenity. My cup overflowith!!!

Last month I got to shoot another wedding at the Tulalip Resort in Marysville. I was so glad to be indoors on this January day, but still had a glass ceiling above me providing the perfect light during the ceremony! It was a typical, wet winter day in the Northwest but inside the Tulalip, there was a beautiful wedding taking place!! The Tulalip  provided beautiful deorations, flowers, meals and cupcakes at the reception! I am always impressed by the food and decorations that come as part of the wedding package. Lots of friends and family came from places as far as Hawaii, so this location really couldn’t have been any more convenient for guests, with the casino night-life and hotel all in the same place as the wedding! And if you forget anything, the Seattle Outlet Mall is just next door  ;) Enjoy a few sneak-peeks at this wedding…

This may just be one of my all time fave wedding shoot!! This wedding had  style all over!! All the way down to the vintage-inspired Birdcage veil, to the Converse and Tu-tu’s from Bee Bops & Lollipops {our favorite local children’s boutique}!! We met before the wedding for pictures at  TraLa Studios {also located with BB&L} in Historic Downtown Snohomish.  It was a cold day and the little kiddos were pretty cold walking around the town takins pictures here and there, but they sure did do a great job loving each other and the camera! It didn’t hurt that they were being bribes with cupcakes . Kymberly and Adam had their wedding cupcakes at Bite Me Cupcakes in Snohomish and were very happy to be in a warm place with treats!! I already knew this was the perfect stylized wedding and photoshoot that I always want to do. When you come to a shoot with a them and style you are after, you accomplish a vibrant and more commercial looking shoot {which is soo much fun to do!}!! I love it. And I love Kymberly and Adam. Obviously, the camera loves them too, as you can see. We had the best time after the ceremony in Everett and we did a little more shooting before the rain kicked in too hard. There was also a big game on, and Adam was hoping to get to see part of it He did an EXCELLENT job cooperating and posing!! I cannot tell you how easy this makes my job! I’d really love to “stylize” every shoot. Really! Bring a bike and a picnic, BAM! Theres your theme. I hope this couple inspires you to find a little flavor and spice up shoots and wedding themes!! You don’t need a big budget, in fact a bunch of DIY details and awesome pictures are what it’s all about to me! What better way to start the new year, than with a wedding!! I was thrilled when I met with Rachel and  her mother, Flo. While we looked at albums over coffee, we talked details. I get SO excited talking details, you would think I was planning MY wedding! This wedding was full of awesome ideas!! They had it all, from the chocolate fountain, to a Coffee Stand, Cupcakes, and more!! Rachel and Sean had a beautiful winter wedding day at the ever-so-lovely Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish. And what perfect winter wedding is complete without a Helicoptor getaway?? Duh. I don’t know how they managed to think of everything, but they did! Having a wedding coordinator truly made all the difference! It was great to have someone checking on everything and making sure  the day ran smoothly. Judi Blum Quackers was a  joy to work with, and really made my job easy! Besides that, Rachel and Sean are adorable, spunky and sooo in love!! They also had a terrific group of friends and family at the wedding, which made for a very interesting Photo-Fun-Booth!! That photobooth was rediculous!! I just LOVED the crazy energy and enthusiasm! That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout!

Perfect start to a new year, and new life…together!

This wedding is from December and I have really meant to blog more regularly this new year! I have! And I will! But usually this time of year, I get to slow down and catch up. This has not been the case with four weddings since the New Year, I am still shooting like a bunny! A bunny with a camera…

This is the beautiful Sarah and Travis. They got ready at the Tulalip in Marysville before gettin married at the Marysville Opera House. It was the perfect set up! Well, actually it wasn’t perfect. Being at the end of December, it was cold and it got dark early. We didn’t have any daylight to shoot in at all so we decided the best thing to do was to schedule a Trash-the-Dress session in the near future! Stay tuned for that awesome shoot and enjoy these sneak peeks as I finish up editing the rest of these weddings! I’ve got a lot to catch up on!!
